How to Connect Your iPhone to the Staff Wi-Fi
If you would like to connect your phone to the Wi-Fi at your home/school, we require the MAC address for your phone. This is a unique address that every device which can connect to the internet has. Below is a guide, with screenshots, on how to find the MAC address and connect to the Wi-Fi for iPhone users. If you have an Android, please see our other guide here.
Where to find the MAC Address on iOS or iPhone
- Go into settings
- Click on Wi-Fi

- Click on the Staff Wi-Fi available at your location - your manager should have the password. It will fail to connect, this is expected.
- On the main Wi-Fi page, find the network that you tried connecting to.
- Click the information symbol (i) at the right of the network.

-
Switch Off ‘Private Wi-Fi Address’ towards the bottom of the page it takes you to. For some iOS versions, it might show as 'Fixed' instead of an on/off toggle. Please make sure it is changed to 'Off'.
- Your MAC Address is the code shown underneath next to 'Wi-Fi Address'. Please email this to itsupport@newforestcare.co.uk and we will add it to an 'allow list'.

Once we have confirmed that the MAC address has been added to the 'allow list', you will be able to successfully connect to the network on your phone.
