How to Connect Your Android Phone to the Staff Wi-Fi
If you would like to connect your phone to the Wi-Fi at your home/school, we require the MAC address for your phone. This is a unique address that every device which can connect to the internet has. Below is a guide, with screenshots, on how to find the MAC address and connect to the Wi-Fi for Android users. If you have an iPhone, please see our other guide here.
Where to find the MAC Address on Android
- Open settings.
- Click on Wi-Fi.
- Click on the Staff Wi-Fi available at your location - your manager should have the password. It will fail to connect, this is expected.
- On the main Wi-Fi page, find the network that you tried connecting to.
- Press the settings icon next to this network. Depending on your Android version, you may have to press and hold on the network if you don't have a settings icon next to it.

- Once you are here (below), click ‘View more’ at the bottom of your screen.

- If it says 'Randomised MAC' under MAC address type, press it and change it to 'Phone MAC' or 'Device MAC'.
- The MAC Address is shown under ‘MAC Address’. Please email this to itsupport@newforestcare.co.uk and we will add it to an 'allow list'.

Once we have confirmed that the MAC address has been added to the 'allow list', you will be able to successfully connect to the network on your phone.
